Synlait Milk has launched its new Made With Better Milk powder range to its ingredient offering, featuring two varieties – whole milk and skim milk.

The Made With Better Milk range aims to provide Synlait customers the opportunity to include an ingredient, which has Synlait’s sustainability credentials, to their product lifecycle.

Synlait CEO Leon Clement said developing the value-add premium ingredient built upon the company’s Lead With Pride sustainable farming system, integrated manufacturing and supply chain, can meet customer demand.

“New Zealand made milk nutrition ingredients are well known for quality and safety. However, as we compete with other countries and categories in the food industry, we need to keep raising the game to differentiate ourselves,” said Clement.

“That game is being played out in terms of environmental and social performance and we’re excited about having a product that allows us to better meet what our customers are asking for.”

Synlait director sustainability and brand Hamis Reid said the new range delivers on a promise made to customers.

“The choices we make about what to eat and drink have a significant impact on the planet and people, which is why today, global consumers are seeking assurances that products are not just healthy, but sustainably, ethically and equitably produced,” said Reid.

“Our customers have been asking for this and we can now deliver upon the promise.”

Synlait said its first Made With Better Milk customer was a “prominent consumer brand owner in Asia”.
