Specialty lubricants are believed to play an important role in food safety.

H1 registration and certification in accordance with ISO 21469 ensures lubricants are safe for use in the food industry.

At the same time, lubricants are required to offer maximum performance, such as on conveyor chains in baking ovens where temperatures may be extremely high.

Klϋber Lubrication has developed a new, high-temperature chain oil which contains H1-registered white solid lubricants instead of black graphite, which leads to improved food safety as contamination with black particles is avoided.

Also, longer re-lubrication intervals are achievable due to the impregnating effect of the solid lubricant.

Due to its anti-wear behaviour at extreme temperatures up to 650°C and its good corrosion protection, this new synthetic chain oil helps increase chain life and contributes to increased reliability of the production process, according to the company.

Klüber Lubrication Australia is based in Thomastown, Victoria.
