A natural alternative to sugar with 45 per cent less calories is entering Woolworths stores around the country, with CSR Sugar introducing its new Lite Raw Reduced Calorie Sugar.

The new product is the latest addition to the sugar manufacuter's 'Better For You' range and aims to be a natural alternative to caster, raw or white sugar.

CSR Sugar marketing manager Melissa Clayton said the raw and reduced calorie alternative is a great option for health-conscious consumers looking for a sugar substitute.

β€œThe new CSR Lite Raw Reduced Calorie Sugar is the perfect natural sugar alternative. The fine uniform crystal size enables the sugar to dissolve instantly and caramelise evenly, making it the most versatile sugar for professional chefs, bakers and home cooks across Australia,” she Clayton.

The product's sweetness is a combination of CSR Raw Caster Sugar as well as natural sweetners Erythritol – cutlured sugar using a natural process – and Stevia.

The CSR Lite Raw Reduced Calorie Sugar is available at Woolworths for RRP$4.50.
