Exair has introduced the ATEX Cabinet Cooler System to protect industrial electronics from overheating in ATEX zoned areas.

Cabinet Cooler Systems are a low cost and reliable way to cool purged electric control panels found within ATEX zoned environments. They have been approved for Zone 2 and 22 use.

In agri-food industrial processes, dusty atmospheres can be generated, causing risk of fire and explosion. It is important for these facilities, and the equipment used, to be ATEX certified for safety regulations.

The aluminium and stainless steel cabinet cooler is an easy-to-use air conditioner, which includes ATEX approved solenoids for hazardous environments.

They are available in 8 different cooling capacities from 1,000 to 5,600 Btu/hr, and utilise vortex tube technology, as an alternative to coolant-based air conditioners.

Available from Compressed Air Australia, all Exair Cabinet Cooler Systems are CE compliant and UL listed, and are built to last with no moving parts to wear out.

Applications include cooling control panels, motor control centres, CCTV cameras, laser housings and much more.

In addition to ATEX, Exair carries an extensive line of Cabinet Coolers ranging from NEMA 12, 4, 4X and Hazardous Locations.

Packaging News

In a collaborative effort, Kimberly-Clark Australia and Woolworths have successfully completed a packaging trial aimed at eliminating the use of secondary plastic packaging for Viva paper towels. The initiative, now set to become standard practice, is projected to save 15 tonnes of plastic annually.

John Cerini has stepped down as CEO of Pro-Pac, with Ian Shannon, who was chief operating officer of the company, taking over the role, and becoming managing director.

Sustainable packaging achievements were recognised at the APCO Annual Awards in Sydney last night. The event celebrated organisations, and individuals, driving change towards the 2025 National Packaging Targets and beyond. PKN was there.
