Interactive maintenance alarms and an RGB dome light can help maximise uptime. A status light helps to diagnose problems faster and more efficiently, maximising value in every stage of the product lifecycle. It is ideal for high-speed repeatable applications and comes with three options of working envelope with reaches of 350, 450 and 550mm.

OMRON Oceania managing director Henry Zhou said: “The new i4L SCARA robot gives users competitive performance and reliability at an affordable price. It can work 24 hours a day tirelessly, punctually, and safely.”

The i4L offers simple integration with a compact design and footprint. Horizontal (table mount) or vertical (wall mount) installation is possible without additional adapters or brackets. Cable connections can be arranged so that they exit through or are parallel to the mounting surface.

Packaging News

Three months after fears of a plastics supply crisis first rippled through Australia's packaging sector, the immediate sense of alarm has eased. Supply chains are still under pressure, prices remain elevated, and uncertainty persists, but PKN's conversations across the packaging value chain suggest the industry has shifted from crisis response to resilience management.

Australia’s first National Environmental Protection Agency has appointed veteran public sector leader John Bradley as its inaugural CEO, ahead of the agency’s official launch on 1 July.

Australian packaging innovation is up for global recognition at the 2026 Sustainability Awards, with Heliograf and Vert Design's compostable soy sauce fish shortlisted in the Renewables category.
