Designed with food-grade materials and stainless-steel components, the Food Grade Primary Cleaner with External Spring (FGP-ES) by Flexco is an effective belt conveyor cleaning solution that reduces product loss and increases sanitation at food operations.

The cleaner will be exhibiting at foodpro 2023 this year.

Whether conveying freshly-baked bread, ripe produce, or sliced bacon, Flexco says yield and timeliness shouldn’t have to take a backseat to sanitation and food safety.

The FGP-ES not only ensures that valuable materials aren’t being left on the belt or falling to the floor but is easy to install and maintain so lines can keep running and deliver on commitments.

Mounted at the head pulley or in the secondary position, the FGP-ES features exposed components, including an external spring, making it easy to clean and maintain.

The cleaner is easy to operate, adjust, and tension, minimising blade wear, eliminating belt damage, and maximising cleaning efficiency. This is an Ideal cleaner for highly sanitary applications, like beef, pork and poultry, on homogenous or modular belting.

The blade is made with FDA-food grade UHMW and is available in white, blue, and metal detectable blue, and for uneven or soft-cover belts, blue metal detectable dual durometer.

The simple, snap-in blade design allows for easy disassembly for quick maintenance, meaning the conveyor can be up and running in no time.

Flexco will be exhibiting at stand S47.

The initiative, now set to become standard practice, is projected to save 15 tonnes of plastic annually.

John Cerini has stepped down as CEO of Pro-Pac, with Ian Shannon, who was chief operating officer of the company, taking over the role, and becoming managing director.

Sustainable packaging achievements were recognised at the APCO Annual Awards in Sydney last night. The event celebrated organisations, and individuals, driving change towards the 2025 National Packaging Targets and beyond. PKN was there.
