Muffin Break has released a new flavour combination involving dried figs, cream cheese and honeyed pistachio.

The Honeyed Pistachio with Rose Cheesecake Centre Muffin is part of a new range called Curious Creations which was imagined in the company's 'Muffin Lab' innovation hub.

The lab became known for producing a half-donut, half-muffin hybrid called the Duffin last year, and continues to respond to consumer demand with new tastes and textures.

“The launch of Curious Creations reflects the growth and tastes of our customers,” Gemma Fitzsimons, Muffin Break marketing manager, said. “The Muffin Break Muffin Lab continues to evolve.”

Available in store until tomorrow, the new muffin includes a rose cheesecake centre using cream cheese and rose syrup.

The next flavour instalment, in-store from 1 April, is the Peanut Butter, Banana and Caramel muffin featuring a peanut brittle finish, peanut butter, vanilla essence, fresh banana, banana chips and a caramel filling.

Customers can also visit the Muffin Break website to enter the ‘Suggest a Flavour’ competition for the chance to win a $500 visa card.
