Active botanical extract supplier, Finzelberg, has launched its latest branded ingredient – Concental, which was developed to support brain health and cognitive function in high-stress situations.

Finzelberg senior expert branded ingredients, Martin Felkner, said the company focuses developing botanical extract solutions that offer additional value for brands and meet modern consumer demands.

The efficacy of Concental is backed by proprietary research, offering a unique dual approach that can assist in regulating cerebral blood flow to the brain and modulating serotonin, noradrenaline, and dopamine in the brain. This approach could lead to significant cognitive improvements and the maintenance of optimal brain perfusion.

The positive effects of Concental on brain health are due to an abundance of phenolic acids found in Sideritis species. Finzelberg invested in extensive pre-clinical and clinical research to support the development of Concental, which acts as a non-stimulant brain booster, fuelling cerebral blood flow and modulating neurotransmitters for improved cognitive performance in stressful everyday situations.

Finzelberg member of the management board development and quality, Dr. René Roth-Ehrang, said: “From our proprietary clinical trial data we can see significant beneficial effects on the ability to process information while increasing mental flexibility and memory.”

The company stated Concental is aimed at a diverse group of consumers of all age groups – from athletes and gamers who require faster reaction speeds and reduced error rates to everyday heroes coping with a high-pressure work environment and demanding daily life situations that require mental acuity and rapid information processing.

Concental is also targeted at healthy agers who are concerned about a decline in cognitive health and who are looking for a plant-based and non-stimulant solution to maintain cognitive performance.

Concental can be used in a variety of applications, stand-alone or in existing product formulations, including B-vitamins, Ginkgo, and Bacopa, and in different formats such as capsules, tablets, soft gel capsules, gummies, instant powders as well as effervescent tablets and shots.
