Lite n’ Easy is introducing an entire meat-free menu following demand from customers who do not eat meat or are interested in reducing their meat intake.

The home delivered, pre-prepared meal brand will launch the range for breakfast, lunch, dinners and snacks. It includes meals such as Apple & Raspberry Bircher Muesli, Lentil & Pumpkin Pasta Salad with Italian Dressing, and Edamame & Crispy Noodle Salad.

Accredited practising dietitian Maryl-Ann Marshall said the health advantage of vegetarian eating is that it relies on foods that are naturally high in fibre.

“Fibre is not only great for keeping you regular, but it also feeds your gut bugs. Research has shown that people whose diets are rich in plant foods are healthier,” said Marshall.

“They are at lower risk of developing lifestyle diseases such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity and some types of cancers which is really critical, especially when our health has never been more important.”

“We are the leaders in this space because we are listening to our customers and providing them with the healthiest meals possible.”

The new all-vegetarian line-up of Lite n’ Easy meals will soon be rolling out nationwide.
