Cereal and snack food company, Carman’s Kitchen, has released new oat-based bars to boost Australian diets – Granola Bars in Honey & Vanilla and Raspberry & Coconut, and Milk Choc Classic Muesli Bars.

Since beginning as a muesli business in 1992, family-owned Carman’s has expanded to become a market leader in breakfast foods, with a growing range of snacking options. The company champions the use of ingredients with a positive impact on the body, particularly oats.

Carman’s stated that poor diets have a serious impact on heart health in Australia, and the fibre in oats, beta-glucans, can help to naturally lower cholesterol.

“Because of their naturally high content of beta-glucans, oats are one of the easiest ways to naturally boost the health of your heart,” said the company.

“Whether you enjoy rolled oats as Porridge, Muesli, Granola or in a Muesli Bar you can count on the delicious range of Carman’s products to help you boost your diet with the heart loving power of beta-glucans.”

After the success of its granola cereals, the company decided to launch Granola Bars, described as a crunchy delight in every bite. The whole grain rich products bake Australian oats with honey and vanilla, or with raspberries and coconut, to create the crunchy snack.

Carman’s also recently launched milk chocolate coated Milk Choc Classic Muesli Bars, after the popularity of its limited-edition Dark Choc Cherry & Coconut muesli bars. The product combines honey-toasted oats, super seeds, and vanilla, dipped in milk chocolate for a delicious flavour and chewy texture.

Carman’s Granola Bars in Honey & Vanilla and Raspberry & Coconut in a five pack, and a six pack of its Milk Choc Classic Muesli Bars are now available at Coles stores for RRP $6.90.
