Yoghurt powerhouse Danone has partnered with Foodbank Australia to help people suffering food insecurity while also working to reduce food waste.

As part of Two Good’s new ‘Eat Good. Do Good’ campaign, Danone will be donating 10c from every 150g pot of the delicious, low-sugar yoghurt purchased from 13 September until 31 October.

Danone senior brand manager of Protein & Wellness Xavier Gonzalez said: “At Danone we strongly believe that everyone deserves access to good food and have been supporting Foodbank in their mission to help Aussies doing it tough. Over the last twelve months we have provided 24,000 kilograms in donations.”

Yoghurt powerhouse Danone has partnered with Foodbank Australia to help people suffering food insecurity while also working to reduce food waste.

Foodbank Australia CEO Brianna Casey said: “The past twelve months have been exceptionally challenging. In fact, in 2020 we saw a forty-seven per cent increase in demand for food relief from pre-COVID-19.

“Many people continue to face financial pressures – and so many have been affected by the extended lockdowns in Victoria and NSW.”

Gonzalez said Danone’s focus on less excess – Two Good yoghurt has only 2 grams of sugar and no artificial additives – and good food should never go to waste made it a perfect fit for a partnership with Foodbank.

Gonzalez said: “Throughout this campaign, we’re using our brand platform to encourage people to ‘eat good and do good’ – for each delicious Two Good pot purchased $0.10 will be donated to Foodbank to support Aussies in need.

“With every $1 donated to Foodbank going towards two meals, our consumers will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference. Just one 150g pot of Two Good’s delicious, low-sugar yoghurt each day throughout the month of October can provide six meals to Australians in need. By choosing Two Good, you’ll also be opting for a nutritious yoghurt without the excess sugar – helping your body eat good, while doing good.”

Casey said: “We are so grateful to Danone for this amazing support and are thrilled to see the Two Good pots turn Foodbank purple.”

Two Good Yoghurt with Foodbank branding will be available in all Woolworths and Coles stores from 13th September.
