For those more partial to the old school pastille – and who isn’t – there are Life Savers Fruit Pastilles and (the best) Life Savers Blackcurrant Pastilles available in 180g packs. Life Savers were created in the US in 1912, and first Australian factory was built in 1921 on Parramatta Road, Sydney. There have been many flavours over the years, but Musk was an Australian creation that debuted in 1932 and is still available today.

The traditional Life Savers are still a hit, with more than 11 million packs sold every year.

APCO has released its 2022-23 Australian Packaging Consumption and Recovery Data Report, the second report released this year in line with its commitment to improving timeliness and relevance of data.
