Farmer co-operative, Ocean Spray, is expanding its Pure juice range in Australia, with the launch of Pure Grapefruit, an unsweetened 100 per cent white grapefruit juice that adds a flavour and immunity boost to any beverage.

Unlike traditional juices, Ocean Spray’s Pure range is designed to be added to other beverages for a boost of healthy flavour – such as sparkling or still water, or smoothies.

The company launched its flagship Unsweetened Pure Cranberry Juice last year, with each 1 litre bottle made from the juice of 700 cranberries to add a flavour and antioxidant boost to any beverage.

Since its debut, the company states Pure Cranberry has driven significant growth in the ambient juice category, with 70 per cent of the drink’s growth coming from shoppers new to the category. Additionally, it has achieved 1 per cent household penetration in Australia, with more than 75 per cent of buyers being new to the brand.

Ocean Spray has now released Pure Grapefruit as an alternative flavour. Each 1 litre bottle is made with over 1kg of white grapefruits, and contains no added sugar, colours, flavours or preservatives.

When mixed in other beverages, a little goes a long way, offering value for consumers seeking versatility and flavour.

It can also be taken daily as a concentrated shot with both flavours offering additional health benefits – Pure Cranberry contains 450mg polyphenol antioxidants per serve, and Pure Grapefruit supports a healthy immune system, containing 100 per cent of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin C per 250 mL.

Ocean Spray General Manager ANZ, Elissa Booth, said PURE Grapefruit is an exciting addition to the Ocean Spray PURE range.

“Ocean Spray is known for cranberry, so it is really exciting to build upon the success of PURE Unsweetened Cranberry by introducing a completely new product into the mix with a unique taste profile and health benefits,” said Booth.

The PURE range is designed to add taste into different applications, whether it’s adding a little something to your morning smoothie or injecting some flavour into sparkling water, it can improve the taste of so many different beverages, all while being 100% unsweetened.”

Pure White Grapefruit is available in Coles for RRP $8.00, with Unsweetened Pure Cranberry already available at all major supermarkets.
