As World Vegan Day approaches this Sunday, Vegie Delights has added plant-based pepperoni slices to its deli-style range.

Life Health Foods Australia general manager Dean Epps said the peperoni-style slices had been well received by consumers in the first week of its launch.

“We’ve already seen consumers get really excited about our new Pepperoni-style slices, particularly when it comes to the flavour and texture,” said Epps.

“Our product development team, here on the Central Coast, NSW, spent months trialling and perfecting this new recipe and have landed on a formulation that looks and tastes just like the real thing.

“We’re also rapt to be delivering an easy-peel product, an attribute that has proven a huge challenge for many vegan deli slices, our own included in the past.”

In addition to the pepperoni-style slices, the deli-style range – including its newly-formulated chicken-style slices, and bacon-style rashers – are now packed in a recyclable tray and an easy-to-peel format.

The Vegie Delight Deli-Style Slices range is 100 per cent vegan, Australian-made and feature no artificial colours or flavours.

The new Vegie Delights pepperoni-style slices are available in the chilled vegetarian section in Woolworths, while the full Deli-Style Slices range is available in Coles Australia-wide.
