The UK’s largest bakery brand, Warburtons, is bringing its gluten-free range to Australia – including its Tiger Bloomer Loaf, Super Soft Brioche Sliced Rolls, Super Soft White Sliced Rolls, and Crumpets.

Australia has one of highest rates of allergies in the world, and according to research from the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, the highest published rates of food allergies in children. The country has also seen a growing trend towards gluten-free diets, with around 11 per cent of Australian adults following a gluten-free diet.

With increasingly more consumers looking for reliable alternatives the Warburtons gluten-free range aims to cater to this demand. The fifth generation family business has over 148 years of baking experience, and launched its Gluten Free range in 2011.

Warburtons chairman, Jonathan Warburton, said the company believes consumers shouldn’t have to compromise on quality, just because they need to follow a gluten free diet.

“We’ve done what we do best and used our years of baking expertise, and passion, to create a fantastic range of gluten free products that offer consumers the guarantee that every bite reflects the same standard of excellence that Warburtons is known for,” he said.

“We’re excited to bring this much-loved range to Australia, offering consumers here a gluten-free option that doesn’t compromise on taste.”

The new gluten-free range will be available at Coles supermarkets nationwide, with prices ranging from $7-$10.
