Infant nutrition brand Le Puree is launching the world’s first Kangaroo Puree, crafted using ethically sourced kangaroo meat and a blend of peas, bulgur, cauliflower, and Davidson Plum.

Along with its robust flavour and texture profile, the Kangaroo Puree includes essential vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids.

Le Puree founder Erin Jeries said kangaroo meat's nutritional profile made it an ideal choice for babies and toddlers.

“The launch of our Kangaroo Puree represents a monumental leap forward in infant nutrition, offering a sustainable protein that is not only delicious but also exceptionally dense in essential nutrients,” said Jeries.  

Le Puree in-house certified dietitian specialising in infant nutrition Jessica Kurosaki said that as Kangaroos are wild and graze on natural foliage, they are not exposed to any hormones, antibiotics or chemicals.

“The high levels of iron, zinc and protein go an extremely long way in babies reaching their nutrient requirements from a protein source, especially due to the efficiency of how we can utilise kangaroo meat in the body.

Kangaroo meat also contains a great serving of B vitamins- especially B12 to support red blood cell formation and our immune system, which can be challenging to get enough into babies' diets, but kangaroo serves it up in spades,” said Kurosaki.

Le Puree’s Kangaroo Puree is free from added sugars, preservatives, and artificial flavours and is available in the brand’s signature three-texture progression directly online from Le Puree.
