Australia’s largest private luxury vineyard holder, The Randall Wine Group (RWG), has been recognised internationally, receiving an Elsie award from Canada’s Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) for best new product launch.

Established in 1978 and led by executive chairman and proprietor Warren Randall, RWG spans over 9230 acres and has a portfolio of brands including Seppeltsfield, Penny’s Hill, and Gemtree Organic Wines.

The company launched its One Pound Per Acre brand internationally in partnership with its Ontario distributor, Dionysus Wines and Spirits at the end of 2023, to widespread success for its Chardonnay and Shiraz.

Due to its success in Canada, the LCBO awarded the award for Best New Product Launch in Wines and Vintages to Randall Wine.

“The Canadian market is a very supportive and important market for Australian wine,” said Randall.

“It is currently our fifth largest export market and the prestigious Elsie award will ensure that Australian wine remains front and centre in Canada.

“The province of Ontario sells approximately 40 per cent of Canada’s total retail wine sales and is a significant influence on other provinces like British Columbia and Alberta, so word of the Elsie award will spread from east to west. The wines represent excellent value for money because both wines overdeliver on quality,” he said.
