Indigenous-owned craft spirits brand, Seven Seasons, has landed a national distribution partnership with global spirits company, Amber Beverage Group. Effective from 28 October, the partnership will amplify flavours and traditions from the world’s oldest living culture across the nation.

Founded by former AFL player Daniel Motlop and rooted in the heritage of the Larrakia people, Seven Seasons uses sustainably wild-harvested ingredients to create unique spirits.

The company is poised for growth, supported by Amber Beverage Group, a global spirits company that founded its Australian distribution branch in 2004, and now represents over 60 brands and products nationally.

This partnership highlights shared values of innovation and respect for culture, and aims to position Seven Seasons at the forefront of the premium spirits industry.

Amber Beverage Group CEO, Patrick Borg, said what Daniel and his team have created is truly special, blending Indigenous traditions with premium spirits that Australians can be proud of.

“Their spirits, crafted with native Australian ingredients, represent a perfect fusion of quality and cultural significance,” said Borg.

“We’re passionate about bringing these authentic stories to a broader audience and look forward to working closely with Seven Seasons to showcase their offering across the country.”

The brand’s flagship product, Green Ant Gin, has gained acclaim for its distinctive blend of native botanicals. Green ants added before and after distillation deliver a citrusy pop, while boobialla brings coastal floral notes with a hint of sweetness. Strawberry gum adds warm spice, and together with lemon myrtle and pepper berry, they enhance the depth of the base citrus profile.

In addition to Green Ant Gin, Seven Seasons offers distinctive spirits like Native Yam Vodka and Bush Apple Gin. Each product invites consumers to explore native ingredients and the sustainable harvesting techniques practised by the Larrakia people for over 60,000 years.

“Partnering with Amber Beverage Group opens up incredible opportunities for us to further honour our heritage and share the stories of our land and people through flavour,” said Motlop.

“This collaboration allows us to elevate our mission and reach more Australians who are eager to experience the richness of Indigenous culture in a meaningful way, bringing our special and sustainably sourced spirits to a broader audience.”

Amber Beverage Group has made several investments in Australia this year, announcing national distribution partnerships with alcohol recovery beverage, Dodge, and with gin distillery, Hickson House Distilling Co.
