Robotic Automation (RA) is a supplier of turnkey solutions using the core technologies of Motoman Yaskawa Robotics and MAXAGV Automatic Guided Vehicles. Its production lines utilise robotic palletisers, case-packers, wrap-around cartoners and wrapping machines. See all this on Stand D060.

RA’s display at APPEX will show a compact RA-PAL palletising cell, fed by a conveyor from an HC10 Cobot set up for depalletising. Pallet transportation between the robots is performed by a compact MAXAGV fork over Automatic Guided Vehicle.

RA-PAL Palletising Cell

This compact palletising cell was designed and engineered for easy integration into tight spaces. The flexible module provides a cost effective and efficient upgrade path to improve the performance of existing manufacturing infrastructures. The RA-PAL can be easily deployed into existing environments as a single module or a multiple station setup and can always be further expanded if required.

A vacuum gripper is utilised on this palletising system, however, RA can assist you in selecting one of its designs, or custom-made gripper to maximise the efficiency of processing your products.

Cobot

The Motoman human collaborative robot offers an affordable, versatile, and user-friendly solution, designed to work alongside humans for seamless integration.

The HC Cobot series is available with 10, 20 and 30kg payload variants.

Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs)

AGVs come in many formats, and can be readily customised to suit specific applications. Enjoy the efficiency of a driverless, fully automatic pallet-handling forklift working 24/7 at your site,

A Robopac pallet wrapping robot will also be on display demonstrating the use of an Australian-made compostable stretch wrap from Great Wrap.

Many more interactive robots and solutions will be on display and staff will be there to discuss solutions suitable to your application.

Visit Robotic Automation at Stand D060. APPEX is taking place on 12-15 March at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Free registration is open now.

Packaging News

APCO has released its 2022-23 Australian Packaging Consumption and Recovery Data Report, the second report released this year in line with its commitment to improving timeliness and relevance of data.

The AFGC has welcomed government progress towards implementing clear, integrated and consistent changes to packaging across Australia, but says greater clarity is needed on design standards.

It’s been a tumultuous yet progressive year in packaging in Australia, with highs and lows playing out against a backdrop of uncertainty caused in part by the dangling sword of DCCEEW’s proposed Packaging Reform, and in part by the mounting pressure of rising manufacturing costs. Lindy Hughson reviews the top stories for 2024.
