Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum will launch its first ready-to-drink (RTD) cans in Australia this summer, before rolling out the new format around the world.

Available in two flavours, Rum & Dry and Rum & Cola, the RTDs are blended with cola and dry gin flavours, while maintaining a spiced rum base.

“Australians are going to be the first to experience these RTDs, just in time for the warmer months,” said Gravy Thomas, global brand ambassador for Sailor Jerry.

“These maintain the same authentic Sailor Jerry spirit. The combination of our iconic bold rum with delicious cola or dry ginger flavours is one we know they are going to love.”

Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum RTDs are now available in liquor stores around the country with an RRP $26.00 for a four-pack and $58.00 for a 10-pack.

Packaging News

The World Packaging Organisation has named 234 winners for the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026, which were selected from 481 entries submitted across 36 countries.

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
