New Zealand chocolate brand Whittaker's will soon be stocked in Coles in a deal that will see it introduce a wider range of flavours into Australia.
From this week, selected Coles stores in every state and territory across Australia will have either Whittaker’s 250g block range or Whittaker’s premium 100g New Zealand Artisan range, or both.
“We’re actively engaged with over 180,000 Australia-based Whittaker’s Chocolate Lovers through our social media channels,” Whittaker’s chief sales officer Matt Whittaker said.
“They’re always asking us for more flavours and more availability in Australia, and we’re delighted to have this opportunity to deliver this through our partnership with Coles, alongside our existing retail stockists and distributors.”
Whittaker’s 250g blocks will be found in ‘All Stars’ bays of Coles’ confectionery aisles, including Whittaker’s Creamy Caramel and Whittaker’s Dark Salted Caramel, which are new to Australia. This range will also include Whittaker’s 200g Hazelnut Block, which is a proven favourite in Australia and is back by popular demand and available in Coles.
Whittaker’s premium 100g New Zealand Artisan range, which features innovative, premium flavour combinations that showcase artisan ingredients, will be stocked in the ‘NZ Bay’ of the international aisles in selected Coles stores.
Among the artisan flavours stocked is West Coast Buttermilk Caramelised White Chocolate.
“Our collaboration with artisan producers from across New Zealand to create this range reflects our commitment to sustainability and to producing only chocolate of the highest quality,” Whittaker said.
Whittaker’s has been named New Zealand’s Most Trusted Brand in the Reader’s Digest annual awards for the past seven years in a row.
The family-owned company, which was established in New Zealand over 120 years ago, manufactures its product from bean to bar in one factory in Wellington, New Zealand.
