The aniseed Black Cats from Allen’s Party Mix Classic bags will now feature on shelves in their own, solo lolly bag, thanks to popular consumer demand.

The Allen’s team have responded to Black Cats fans following years of email and social media feedback for the lolly to have its own standalone bag, and will also induct 150 fans into the Black Cats Gang, celebrated with a limited edition bag with their names on pack.

Nestle head of marketing confectionery Joyce Tan said Allen’s Black Cats have been a favourite since 1961 and have been the number one lolly fans have wanted as a solo pack.

“We’ve followed the social media movement that has connected aniseed lovers nationwide, creating a unique community that are mighty, loyal and passionate about their lollies,” said Tan.

“We’ve heard their cries and are honoured to give the Black Cats Gang and all Black Cats lovers across the country what they’ve asked for.”

Allen’s Black Cats will be available in Woolworths stores around the country for RRP $2.95 from 4 March.
