CSR Sugar will roll out a new range of natural buttercream icing mixes in August.

The All Natural Buttercream Icing Mix is made with no added colours, artificial flavours, gluten or preservatives, in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavours.

The chocolate variety is made with Dutch-processed cocoa; the vanilla uses sweet corn powder; and the strawberry version uses beetroot powder.

The mixes require only butter and water.

Marketing manager Melissa Clayton says the product offers consumers convenience in home baking, as well as natural ingredients.

The mixes have been made to ice a 20-23cm cake, 12 cupcakes or 24 mini-cupcakes, and will be sold in Coles, Woolworths and independent retailers at a RRP of $2.99.
