Campbell’s has introduced the first Real Stock Mushroom to the supermarket shelves; a plant-based substitute for beef stock that delivers a rich, hearty and meaty flavour.

Campbell’s says the addition comes as recent research shows that 32 per cent of Aussies have reduced their meat consumption in the past 12 months but are struggling to find tasty replacements.

Mushrooms have long been a go-to for budding chefs looking to reduce reliance on meat whilst maintaining a depth of flavour in recipes. Campbell’s says the latest addition keeps it simple, providing a savoury stock that can be used for pasta, casseroles, soups and more.

Infused with white button and champignon mushrooms, the Mushroom Stock adds an umami flavour with a subtle sweetness. Water or meat-based stocks can be swapped out for Campbell’s Real Stock Mushroom to build the flavour profile of their recipes.

Campbell’s Real Stock Mushroom will be on shelves in Coles, Woolworths, and independent supermarkets in a 1L pack with a RRP of $4.50. It joins the Campbell’s Real Stock range, including Chicken, Beef, Fish, and Vegetable.
