Chi Forest, one of the fastest growing F&B groups in Asia and headquartered in China, has released a new range of its sugar free ‘Chi’ beverages in Australia in time for Christmas.
Chi Forest said its new range of flavoured sparkling water products are catering to the growing number of Australians choosing to have healthier holidays.
It added that although Australia is widely known for its drinking culture, studies are showing that this is rapidly changing, especially amongst the younger generation who are eager to opt for a more health-conscious lifestyle.
Australian Bureau of Statistics figures (from September 2019) revealed Australia’s alcohol intake since 1961 was nearing historic lows. Chi Forest said this trend was heightened during the pandemic with consumers prioritising their health.
The company said its range would join other local manufacturers looking to offer healthier beverages to consumers. It also showed its shared commitment to support the Australian Beverages Council Limited sugar reduction pledge to reduce 25 per cent of sugar across their non-alcohol beverage portfolios by 2025.
Chi Forest founder Binsen Tang said that the company hoped the products would complement family meals and to enjoy guilt-free celebrations at the same time.
“Synonymous with the ‘Chi’ brand ethos to ‘bring vitality’, our products are always designed to give consumers a refreshed boost of energy. The sparkling water range was born out of a mix for the more health-conscious who still demand for flavourful drinks and we’re excited to bring these products to Australia – a market in which we see more and more consumers wanting such wholesome offerings,” said Tang.
Chi Forest’s sparkling water product range in Australia comes in three flavours: Grape Delight, Lychee Fizzy, and White Peach, and are available at all Woolworths and Costco stores nationwide.
