Loving Earth says it is getting back to its chocolate innovation roots with a new range of superfood-infused chocolates, arriving alongside the company’s first equity raise.
On a mission to champion responsible food production, Loving Earth says it has spent the past 15 years innovating within the industry and championing practices that have been adopted by major players around the world.
Loving Earth founder Scott Fry said that while trends like plant-based foods, sustainable packaging and fair trade have become more prevalent on shelves in recent years, they’re all practices that have long been staples of their model.
“Our innovative products have a point of differentiation for us. Since our inception we’ve been aiming to do things differently, an approach that was born out of genuine relationships with regenerative farmers.
“Now our competitors are recognising that the demands of shoppers are changing and they need to be acting in line with the priorities of their customers," said Fry.
Beginning with a broad range of superfoods, Loving Earth’s offering has since grown to grain free cereals, chocolate spreads, teas and drinking chocolates.
The new range of superfood-infused chocolate bars are made with 69 per cent premium cacao, and each of the four flavours are enhanced with plants that offer different health benefits – from antioxidant-rich blueberries to adaptogenic maca root.
Variations include: The Beauty Bar, with blueberry, macadamia and Peruvian Lucuma; The Digestive Bar, with peppermint, marshmallow root and aniseed; The Well Being Bar, with Davidson's plum and gubinge, and The Recovery Bar, with maca root.
