Healthy food company, Monde Nissin, has introduced Peckish Peckables to meet the growing consumer demand for healthier snacking options.

As a leading brand in the Australian grocery market for rice crackers, with a 38.7 per cent share, Peckish is introducing Peckables in four flavours for a light and healthy snack – Sour Cream and Chive, Cheese and Bacon, Salt and Vinegar, and Honey Soy Chicken.

Peckish Peckables are rice-based snacks which aim to offer a healthier alternative to traditional snacks. With each serving containing under 100 calories, these snacks are designed to cater to the shift towards lighter eating.

The introduction of Peckish Peckables aligns with significant consumer trends. According to Euromonitor International’s Voice of the Consumer: Lifestyles Survey 2022, nearly 40 per cent of Australians are snacking between meals, reflecting a move away from traditional meal formats. This shift highlights the growing need for convenient, lighter snack options.

Peckish senior brand manager, Jaimie Gardner, said snacking has evolved, and the team is excited to introduce Peckish Peckables as the next big thing in snack culture.

“Here at Peckish we have taken a fresh approach to create snacks that not only satisfy but elevate the snacking experience. Our goal was to craft a product that turns a mundane moment into something truly enjoyable,” said Gardner.

“Peckables are all about making snacking light, fun, and guilt-free. Our campaign truly brings this to life as we turn our bite-sized snacks into unique characters with animated faces and bold, flavourful personalities. Each flavour is designed to bring a little joy to your day and remind you that even the simplest snacks can be extraordinary.”
