James Squire has launched a limited-edition craft beer in celebration of the brand’s two year partnership with culinary show MasterChef Australia.

The new James Squire XPA is a pale ale that features aromas of tropical fruit, including melons, paw paw, and passionfruit.

Lion Australia brand director – Premium, Albertus Lombard, described the beer as refreshing and beautifully balanced, with a fantastic hops combination.

“When the team was tasked with developing a limited edition XPA for our MasterChef partnership, we were immediately excited to create a product that would blend our craftsmanship with all round deliciousness – the perfect companion for a cooking show!”

“This collaboration allows James Squire to showcase its passion for brewing excellence on a platform that celebrates creativity and culinary innovation. We can’t wait for viewers to experience the delicious results.”

James Squire products, including Lashes, Stride, Shackles, Ginger Beer and Zero, are developed by the Malt Shovel Brewery in Camperdown, New South Wales. The company operates under Lion Australia, a subsidiary of Japanese beverage conglomerate Kirin.

The new XPA beer will join the James Squire portfolio starting 12 May, for a limited run during the current season of MasterChef Australia 2024.

It will be sold exclusively to Coles Group, available at Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars stores nationally.

The James Squire XPA has an ABV of 4 per cent and will be available to purchase in 330ml bottles, for RRP $58 per case and $22 per six-pack.
