4 Pines has added its Extra Refreshing Ale to its core range, which will also join part of the 1% for the Planet movement to help reduce its impact on the environment.

The 1% for the Planet initiative has around 1,500 members and has helped give $365 million to non-profit organisations helping protect the environment and minimise impact.

“For us, it’s always been about making sure we leave the world better than we found it,” said 4 Pines CMO Todd Atkinson.

“We’re always asking, ‘how can we do better here?’ As each year goes on, we’re learning of new ways to be a sustainable and community-minded brewery.

“We’ve been B-Corp certified for over three years, and now as a 1% member, our support of Take 3 and Organic Matters Foundation will expand our positive impact.”

The 4 Pines team wanted to brew its own version of the classic Aussie ale with its new Extra Refreshing Ale, said chief brewer Chris Willcock, which was brewed with “local Pride of Ringwood and Melba hops [giving] us some of that classic taste, which defined a generation of Australian beer, with a modern hint of crisp summery fruit aromas”.

The new brew is now rolling out nationwide across taps and bottle shops.

Packaging News

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.
