Iced coffee brand, Dare, has launched two new brews with no added sugar for those on the go. No Sugar Added (NSA) Intense Espresso and Double Espresso Protein aim to give an extra kick for early morning wake ups.
First launched by the brand in 2019, Dare’s NSA range represents 21 per cent of all Dare unit sales and has generated more than $21 million in retail sales value in the last year. With research identifying sugar as the number one barrier to consumption in the iced coffee category, the company is expanding the range to accommodate consumers looking for a no sugar added caffeinated beverage.
NSA Intense Espresso is Dare’s strongest iced coffee, without the added sugar.
Similarly to NSA, the protein category has demonstrated popularity amongst Australian consumers with continued growth in the mainstream markets, including the milk based beverage protein segment – which has seen 88 per cent growth in the last year.
Launched in Double Espresso, Dare Protein has no added sugar, contains 30g of protein and uses Rainforest Alliance certified Arabica and Robusta coffee.
Dare Iced Coffee brand manager, Felicity Smith, said the team was thrilled to see its new Dare NSA Intense Espresso and Double Espresso Protein iced coffees hitting shelves across the nation.
“As Australia’s number one ready to drink iced coffee brand, we understand that our consumers are wanting more from their daily caffeine kick, including no sugar added options and extra protein”, said Smith.
“Everyone deserves to enjoy a Dare! Whether it be our most intense ever NSA Intense Espresso or our protein packed Double Espresso Protein, we can’t wait for you to try our new iced coffees.”
Dare Protein and NSA Intense Espresso will be available in Woolworths, convenience and independents from 4 November and in Coles from 11 November.
