Australian wine brand, Tempus Two, unveils a new look but same-great-tasting Lighten Up range, with a sleek new easy to understand label. The mid-strength wine range with lower calories and alcohol (6.8 per cent), Tempus Two’s Lighten Up is ideal for wine consumers who want to stay in the moment longer and a calorie-equivalent natural alternative to seltzers.

Launching first across their Prosecco and Pinot Noir, the new-look label will make it easier for consumers to identify the health and moderation benefits Lighten Up offers.

Australian Vintage CMO and owner of the Tempus Two brand, Tom Dusseldorp says, “You’re not supposed to judge a book based on its cover, but we know plenty of people choose a wine based on its label. At a time when Australia’s moderation movement is booming, Tempus Two’s Lighten Up calls out the calories, standard drinks and alcohol percentage, so consumers can mindfully moderate on any occasion.”

“Over the past two years, we’ve seen a shift in Australia’s alcohol consumption, with many Aussies reaching for a low alcohol, low calorie option. With the market flooded by beers and seltzers, we introduced Lighten Up as wine's answer to this new conscious demand. Today, we’re excited to unveil the new label for our range, to make it clear to consumers that there is a refreshing and delicious mid-strength selection of wines available for them to enjoy,” adds Dusseldorp.

With just four standard drinks per bottle, the Lighten Up Prosecco boasts 80 calories and a flavour that packs a punch. Influenced by citrus and ripe pear which adorn an engagingly tropical aroma with subtle hints of dried apricot. The palate is vibrant with sherbet like citrus harmonised through a tight, delicate bubble, leading to a crisp green apple finish.

Comparatively, the Tempus Two Lighten Up Pinot Noir is an enhancing profile of red and blue fruits which collide harmoniously, supported by the elegance of a subtle spice. With just 83 calories and 4 standard drinks, the palate is generous with flavours of juicy blackcurrant and preserved raspberry which dominate the subtlety of strawberry notes as the wine finishes with an elegant spice.

The Tempus Two Lighten Up range offers:

  • Less alcohol at 6.8% or 4 standard drinks per bottle, so you can stay in the moment, longer
  • Lower calories, with 80 calories per serve, compared to 120 of standard wine
  • Same calories as a seltzer, but made from real fruit and with a natural refreshing flavour
  • 4 standard drinks per bottle
  • Clear to read labels, making it easier to understand what’s inside
  • Range includes Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, Rose, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Available at Dan Murphy’s, BWS, independent liquor stores and tempustwo.com.au for RRP $20 per bottle.
