QuickBottle, a home delivery service for wine, beer and spirits, plans to take on Australia's bottle shops with its fast, cheap offering.

On the QuickBottle online platform, consumers can choose from a full bottle shop range of alcohol which is delivered to them within 40 minutes, chilled.

QuickBottle founder Marc Chris says its prices are also competitive. “As a wine wholesaler, we pass the benefits of high volume turnover to our clients.

“Although beers and spirits are a tough market, our six pack range is very well priced even better than a lot of bottle shops."

According to Chris, a six pack of chilled Peroni, for instance, costs $18.00 to $19.99 delivered.

“We are working very hard to match bottle shop prices and eventually beat them and this will definitely happen with higher volumes. All in all, considering the convenience we offer and the industry standard, our service is of great value,” he says.

QuickBottle currently services the Sydney CBD area, the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and Lower North Shore with plans in place to expand into Melbourne and Brisbane in the near future.

Packaging News

As Australia’s packaging reform agenda moves closer to implementation, APCO is strengthening its leadership and operational capability, appointing Tom Key as COO to help drive the systems and delivery capability needed for the next phase of reform.

Federal ministers yesterday convened an urgent industry roundtable on plastics supply chain pressures, placing packaging reform and domestic recycling capability firmly at the centre of discussions around Australia’s food security and manufacturing resilience.

The Australian Beverages Council has renewed calls for urgent national packaging reform, saying global supply disruptions highlight the need for stronger domestic recycling and harmonised EPR.
