Charity organisation, Redkite, is partnering with Australian brands through Coles supermarkets, to help raise funds for children with cancer. The Go Red fundraising campaign will donate a portion of every purchase of specially marked Coles Brand Bread, Bickford’s mixers, and Cold Rock Ice Creamery Kiddie Cups to Redkite, to support families facing childhood cancer.

Redkite believes childhood cancer is a journey no family should face alone, with an emotional, physical and financial toll that affects the entire family unit. The support of a family’s immediate and wider community can be the difference in facing each day.

Redkite CEO, Monique Keighery, said that when a child is diagnosed with cancer, it impacts the entire family, often in unexpected and hidden ways.

“The community becomes an invaluable source of support and the Go Red Campaign harnesses this power, enabling Australians to make a real difference with special purchases,” said Keighery.

“By ‘Going Red’ this October, we can help ensure that more children and families receive the critical support they need during the most challenging time of their lives.”

Full list of brand initiatives:

  • Coles Own Brand Bread: 5c from every loaf sold.
  • Bickford’s: 10c from the sale of Bickfords’ entire range stocked in Coles across cordial
and juice from 2 October to 29 October 2024.
  • Cold Rock: 10c from the sale of Cold Rock’s Kiddie Cups.
  • Edible Blooms: $10 from each ‘Redkite’ gift sold. Additional B2B offering for corporate
    Gifting.
  • Subo: $5 from the sale of Subo’s Red Bottle and Starter Pack.
  • I = Change: Additional donations will be made from Loungey, Wildcrafted Organics
    and The Creative Sprout.

For the past 11 years, Coles has spearheaded community-driven support for Redkite and inspired other brands to join the movement. The company stated this latest campaign is another demonstration of its support for Redkite and its care for communities.

Coles Group general manager corporate and Indigenous affairs, Sally Fielke, said: “Coles is proud to support Go Red for Redkite and hopes our customers can get behind this wonderful Australian charity by purchasing Coles Brand Bread or Bickford’s cordial or juice at Coles this October.”
