Tap King's maker Lion is joining forces with Lionel Richie for the second time with the beer giant announcing its sponsorship of the US singer's 2014 Australia tour.

Richie's 1980s hit ‘Hello’ recently featured in the advertising campaign for Lion's new home draught beer dispensing system, Tap King.

While the original clip featured the romantic pursuit of a blind art student, the latest rendition of the song sees Richie, with the help of his Tap King, serenading a beer-deprived Aussie guy from the inside of his fridge.

In March, 'Hello' will again be on the repertoire when Richie performs a series of live shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Western Australia and Adelaide.

Lion is giving away six double passes to the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane shows, with premium seating and the opportunity to meet Richie, on specially marked packs of Tap King during January and February next year.

Tap King was launched in June. It includes a fridge-friendly dispenser and 3.2L recyclable bottles which are available in twin packs.

Six Lion beers from XXXX, Hahn, James Squire, Tooheys and James Boag’s can be used with Tap King.
