French dairy giant Lactalis has recalled several baby formula milk and baby food brands that are sold around the world over salmonella fears.
Lactalis is a family-owned dairy group based in the west of France, and is the majority owner of Parmalat, which in Australia manufactures the Pauls, Oak and Vaalia brands.
The recalled baby products are exported to several countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and the Middle East.
The recall comes on the back of 20 cases of salmonella infection in infants – all of whom have recovered - in France in early December, and has been linked to the company's Craon plant in western France.
