Sydney-based microbrewery White Bay Beer Co will have its Sunny Pale Ale stocked in 64 BWS stores across Sydney, heading from site to store within 72 hours.

White Bay Beer Co is Balmain's first craft brewery, located in a 150-year old steel mill. The team – Tim Fishwick, Tim Condon, Adam Trippe-Smith and head brewer Dennis De Boer – opened the warehouse during the pandemic. Locals supported the brewery with online orders before products were stocked in store.

“White Bay Beer is the genesis of four blokes who live, breathe and love the brewing industry,” said White Bay Beer Co co-founder Tim Fishwick.

“There is nothing more exciting than seeing one of our favourite products on BWS shelves for consumers around Australia to enjoy. We can appreciate the journey from tank to shelf and are excited to see consumers enjoy the product.”

Head of beer at BWS, Sid Ajala, said each BWS store and team member are part of their local community, knowing customers enjoy supporting local products from the area.

“With a personal long-time love for craft beers I am so excited for this product to hit BWS shelves. We are looking forward to making it possible for customers to get their hands on this local brew at BWS,” said Ajala.

The White Bay Beer Co Sunny Pale Ale is available online and in 64 Sydney BWS stores for RRP $59.00 per carton.

Packaging News

The World Packaging Organisation has named 234 winners for the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026, which were selected from 481 entries submitted across 36 countries.

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
