Kombucha company MOJO Beverages has added a former MasterChef star to its team.

Heather Day, who was one of the top 10 contestants in MasterChef 2016, has joined the Melbourne-based team as its new business development manager.

After MasterChef, Day went on to work in a number of roles at high-profile restaurants.

She also started her own gourmet butter business, for which she won a support package on another reality TV show, Shark Tank.

MOJO Beverages co-founder Anthony Crabb said the team was excited to have Heather come on board.

“Heather was already passionate about MOJO Kombucha, especially our approach and dedication to the traditional fermentation process,” he said.

“Heather’s experience in professional kitchens will help us better engage with the foodservice sector, as she’ll be able to connect with chefs, devise some new serving and recipe ideas, and much more.

“We’re an Australian success story, being the first commercial kombucha producer in this country, and the only kombucha quantifying a scientifically proven probiotic strain on its packaging.

“We’re delighted to have Heather help us tell the story and reach more consumers.”

MOJO ranges include Classic, Crafted and Tonic, and they are available in 4000 outlets across Australia.
