Fermentation and maturation tanks will be part of the live entertainment at a new Sydney harbourside microbrewery.

All Hands Brewing House at King Street Wharf in Sydney has undergone a complete renovation and redesign to include the Brewery Room, a modern dining space and bar that can hold up to 350 people, and the Engine Room, a specialised beer tasting room with a view of the new on-site microbrewery.

Like an open-kitchen, parts of the brewing process can be seen from the main standing and sitting spaces, especially the fermentation and maturation tanks in the show brewery on the venue’s lower level.

When the beer is complete for serving, most of it is moved to five 1200L serving tanks located behind the bar on the upper level and then the rest is transferred to 50L kegs. All Hands Brewing House is also one of the only breweries in Australia to offer genuine Cask Ale. Selected ales are cask conditioned and served from the dedicated Hand Pump Bar.

At the launch, Head Brewer Sam Clayman, who crafts the in-house brews at All Hands Brewing House, guided guests through each sensory stage of beer-making, with taste, touch and scent stations set up for viewing.

Some of Clayman’s crafted brews include the Wood Duck Cream Ale, Irish Sport Stout and the Bunny Hop Lager, to name a few. The artisanal benefits of the microbrewery were showcased on the evening as guests were served two brews that had been made specifically for the event and only available on the night.

The new venue is open for business 7 days a week, 11am-late.
