Board directors of Maggie Beer Holdings have unanimously elected Susan Thomas as chair, following Reg Weine being appointed CEO at Bubs Australia.

Thomas joined the board on 1 July 2022. She has significant experience as a company director and audit and risk committee chair, having been a non-executive director of listed companies for 16 years. She is currently a director ASX listed companies Temple and Webster Group, Cash Converters International, Fitzroy River Holdings, and Nuix.

Her expertise is in law, corporate finance, IT and financial services. In the 1990s, Thomas launched the investment administration platform FlexiPlan Australia, that became MasterKey Custom and was sold to MLC.

She is also a senior executive coach at Foresight Global Coaching, working with multinational c-suite executives.

Weine, who was chair for three years, will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

Thomas said she was pleased Weine was staying on the board.

“Reg brings a deep experience of the fast-moving consumer goods and agri-food industries which is invaluable to the board,” Thomas said.

Weine said Thomas’ appointment was a “fantastic outcome”.

“Not only does Sue have experience in the areas which are critical to the company’s five-year vision, but she has a great rapport with our senior management team,” Weine said.
