Our Cow is offering same-day delivery for its sustainable and ethical lamb, beef, chicken, and seafood range to customers in the Sydney metro region. It is the latest step by the northern NSW-based meat subscription start-up towards its goal of servicing all capital cities within the next 12 months.
The company has established a warehouse in Banksmeadow, Sydney, to enable faster delivery times, which co-founder Bianca Tarrant said was increasingly important to its customers. Sydney Metro customers who make an Our Cow order in the morning can now have the fresh produce delivered in the afternoon.
“Customers can now enjoy the convenience of having our fresh, sustainable produce delivered straight to them on the same day they place their order, which means whether they’re planning a last-minute dinner party or simply need to stock up, Our Cow has got them covered,” Tarrant said.
The news comes as Our Cow continues to double down on its nationwide expansion, catering to the growing demand for locally sourced, sustainable food options. The company has continued to round out its leadership team, now welcoming former head of customer experience for MilkRun and Car Next Door, Sarah Thomas.
Sarah joins Woolworths venture capital arm’s former lead investor, Nicolas Rollinson, former head of buying at David Jones, Lyana Laborde, Koala's former VP of global digital strategy, Phil Parker, and tech entrepreneur Robert Coorey to lead its board.
Our Cow co-founder Dave McGiveron said the company was delighted to be attracting such talent to its team as it embarks on the next phase of accelerated growth.

Our Cow has grown rapidly since it was started in 2019 and is now generating around $20 million of annual recurring revenue from over 50,000 customers and supporting more than 150 farmers across Queensland and New South Wales.
In the last six months, Our Cow has acquired the business assets of grocery delivery startup VOLY and the online business of Brisbane Valley Farm Direct. The fourth-generation farming family will continue to supply beef and its famous quail, which is used by more than 100 top restaurants in Australia and Hong Kong, to Our Cow.
Birchal said Our Cow's capital raise in March broke records. The investor webinar was the most supported the platform had experienced, $100,000 was pledged in the first 15 minutes and $1 million on the first day. In total it raised $2,096,150.
The funds raised are enabling the company to expand its range of fresh food, improve delivery times, and continue to expand nationally.
