Jalna Dairy Foods has issued a recall on its Jalna Lactose Free Vanilla (1kg, use by date 28.07.23) and Jalna Sweet & Creamy Coconut (1kg, use by date 02.08.23), sold through Coles, IGA, Woolworths and independents. Microbiological contamination (E. coli) has been detected the products.

Consumers who have purchased these products are instructed not to consume them. Microbial contamination cannot be detected by taste, smell or sight, and may cause illness if consumed.

Only the products and pack sizes above with the use by dates listed are impacted. All other Jalna products are unaffected by this recall.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

As soon as the issue was identified, the authorities and retailers were notified, and a recall initiated. An investigation into the root cause of the issue has also been initiated.

This recall is being undertaken by Jalna to ensure the safety of its consumers as part of an ongoing commitment to maintain the highest possible standards of safety and product quality.
