Australian Food Science and Technology Week 2025

The inaugural Australian Food Science and Technology Week will take place from 2–8 June 2025, aiming to raise awareness of food science and technology and highlight the vital role food scientists and technologists play in shaping a safe, sustainable, and innovative agrifood future.

Despite its importance, food science and technology as a career can remain under-recognised, particularly among high school and university students. This initiative will spotlight what food scientists and technologists do, the career pathways available, and the exciting opportunities to make a difference.

Throughout the week, agrifood industry professionals, educators, and students can engage with insights, discussions, and shared content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and industry platforms. This is an opportunity for the broader food sector to showcase and celebrate the essential contributions of food scientists and technologists and food science and technology across Australia for Australians
