Hort Connections 2025

Preparations are ramping up for Australia and New Zealand’s flagship horticulture event, Hort Connections 2025, to take place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from Wednesday 4 to Friday 6 June.

The conference and trade show, co-hosted by AUSVEG and the International Fresh Produce Association Australia-New Zealand (IFPA ANZ), has grown every year since it was first held, with over 4000 delegates from across the industry attending last year in Melbourne.

This year’s trade show will have over 200 exhibitors allowing delegates to learn about the latest products, services, and technology available. An Activation Lounge will be a new addition to the trade show – featuring celebrity chefs Justine Schofield and Simon Toohey. The former MasterChef contestants who now host their own television cooking shows, will show delegates how to cook delicious, healthy meals using fresh fruit and vegetables.

This year once again Hort Connections will feature a program of inspiring speakers providing their insights into the key challenges, opportunities and hot topics in horticulture. Numerous networking opportunities, and the annual Horticulture Awards for Excellence are also shaping as major drawcards.

Former Olympic Swimmer Giaan Rooney will return as the Hort Connections MC, featuring alongside a world-class speaker line-up including:

  • Dr. Chadden Hunter – A wildlife biologist and filmmaker who has worked on acclaimed documentaries like "Planet Earth II" and "Frozen Planet” alongside Sir David Attenborough.
  • Dr. David Hughes – Emeritus Professor of Food Marketing, Imperial College London, who is a global expert in food industry trends, agribusiness, and retail.
